TTI OSHA/CONSTRUCTION REFRESHER COURSES
10 & 30 Hour Outreach Training Programs
The 10-hour training program is primarily intended for entry level workers. The 30-hour training program is intended to provide workers with some safety responsibility a greater depth and variety of training. All outreach training is intended to cover an overview of the hazards a worker may encounter on a job site. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.
OSHA-authorized trainers issue student course completion cards to individuals that successfully complete an OSHA Outreach Training Program class. In order to obtain an OSHA card, an individual must attend and successfully complete the entire class, including all requisite topics and the minimum number of contact hours. Please note that an OSHA card is not considered a certification or license.
10-Hour Construction Industry (1 ½ days – Day 1 = 7hrs, Day 2 = 3hrs)
This training will provide entry level construction workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a construction site. The training covers a variety of construction safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a construction site. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not just OSHA standards.
Instructional time must be a minimum of 10 hours.
30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program (4 days – 7.5hrs, per day)
The 30-hour Construction Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. The 30-hour outreach courses provide a greater depth and variety of training than the 10 hour course, on an expanded list of topics associated with workplace hazards in each industry. Training will emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not just OSHA standards.
Instructional time must be a minimum of 30 hours.
