MC Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce Dave Amori, PhD, PE, RRC, CIT, joining our company as Vice President – Engineering Services. Dave will also be serving MC clients         as a Civil/Structural Engineer & Building Envelope Expert. With the addition of Dave Amori   to the MC roster, MC Consultants is also pleased to announce the promotion of Terence Kadlec, PE, serving the corporate role of Senior Vice President – Technical Services.

Dave Amori, PhD, PE, RRC, CIT joins MC as Vice President – Engineering Services 

Dave Amori is an industry veteran, well-experienced in the forensic engineering marketplace, including complex construction defect claims and litigated matters given his structural, geotechnical, construction, and building envelope background. Dave is based in San Antonio, Texas. Dave holds a PhD in Structural Engineering and is a licensed PE in 9 states, as well as being a Registered Roof Consultant and experienced testifying expert. Prior to joining MC, Dave served as Vice President, Engineering of EFI Global, Inc., overseeing a team of 225 Engineers, including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers. At MC, Dave will be working closely with our executive management and engineering teams, playing a key role in the operation processes, which will include providing training and mentorship to our rapidly growing group of engineering experts, as well as liaising with our valued clients in the industry for client services, continuing education, and networking. Dave joins our company as an executive that is committed to spending much of his time doing what he does well, providing client services on complex matters. 

MC Promotes Terence Kadlec, PE, to Senior Vice President – Technical Services   

Since joining MC in 2022, Terence has played a key role in the expansion of MC’s forensic engineering capabilities nationwide, which included establishing a rapidly expanding Rocky Mountain presence of engineering and technical staff. Through his leadership approach, Terence impacted other technical service verticals within MC Consultants. With the addition of Dave Amori joining our company, MC Consultants has the opportunity to place another industry veteran at the helm of the engineering team, allowing Terence to continue to impact all of MC’s expert technical staff. In this new role, Terence will continue to provide technical oversight to the expanding roster of experts and serve clients nationwide.

MC Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce Mark Gobitas, CGC, PX, BN, CQM-C, has joined our company to serve as Regional Director, Southeast Region. In addition to his regional management role, Mark also supports MC’s insurance claims clients serving as a General Contractor Forensic Expert.

In the role of Regional Director, Mark will lead the Southeast forensics consulting team’s efforts to deliver high quality consulting services specific to investigation of construction defects, surety claims, construction site accidents and injuries, accident reconstruction, traffic and roadway claims, product failures and first-and third-party property damage analysis. In addition to our forensic consulting, MC experts also provide contract disputes and construction management consulting services.

Mark is a licensed General Contractor and Building Code Professional, with over 20 years of construction experience, having worked on a wide variety of construction project types, including federal, aviation, military, high rise, and heavy civil infrastructure. His experience includes work as a senior roadway and bridge inspector; a threshold representative for the Miami Intermodal Center and Elevated Rail Station; heavy civil inspection and consulting work for FDOT for roadways, underground utilities, as well as complex bridge structures; and construction management and claims consulting for several airport projects both domestically and internationally.

In the role of Director, Complex Claims, Ted will lead the Southwest forensics consulting team’s efforts to deliver high quality consulting services specific to delay claims, contract disputes and construction management consulting arena.

With over 40 years of construction experience and many years as a testifying expert, Ted brings a thorough knowledge of all aspects of commercial, municipal, and residential construction, forensic investigation, and construction defect litigation.

Over the past 33 years, Mr. Bumgardner has served as the lead expert on 600+ projects, involving contract claims, delay claims, cost of repair, defect Investigations, and contractor standard of care matters.  Ted has been involved in over 500+ mediations, been deposed in trial and arbitrations 300+ times, and served as a testifying witness 70+ times.

Ted’s passion for mentoring also contributed to his decision to join MC.  Ted is committed to supporting the training and development of technical team members that are qualified and desire serving the forensic expert delay claims and contract disputes market.

MC CONSULTANTS ANNOUNCES TWO NEW DIRECTOR ROLES:  DIRECTOR, CAUSE & ORIGIN SERVICES AND DIRECTOR, TECHNICAL FIELD SERVICES

MC Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of 2 forensic consulting experts to serve the Director roles of Cause & Origin Services and Technical Field Services.

1. Steve McKibban has been promoted to Director, Cause & Origin Services.

In this role, Steve will lead the forensics consulting team’s efforts to deliver high quality services specific to the growing demands related to cause and origin investigation claims.  Mr. McKibban will continue to serve MC clients as a general contractor, roofing, and waterproofing expert.

2. Chad Polivka has been promoted to Director, Technical Field Services.

MC CONSULTANTS EXPANDS PROPERTY LOSS CONSULTING SERVICES THROUGH THE MERGER OF STRUCTURENSICS, WITH ROBERT A. WAGNER SERVING AS VICE PRESIDENT

MC Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce our merger with Structurensics, a Florida-based consulting company specializing in property loss consulting services.

Structurensics founder, Robert Wagner has joined our National Consulting Team, serving as Vice President, Property Loss Consulting Services.  Robert will continue to serve and support Structurensics’ valued clients, as well as assist MC management with the service deliverables related to MC’s national property loss consulting team and existing clients.

MC’s national consulting team’s diversity includes professionals with design, engineering, and construction experience, which is required to fairly assess and help to settle the loss. Our professionals can assess a wide variety of losses specific to any type of structure. No matter the size or complexity of the project, TEAM MC can provide verifiable assessments that represent fair and actual losses.

Mr. Wagner has more than 20 years of experience in all disciplines of the construction industry. Robert brings extensive property loss and cost estimating experience to MC Consultants, and the many clients TEAM MC serves.  Mr. Wagner is an accomplished senior level professional and has expertise in the areas of construction defects, operations, and staff management within residential and commercial properties, commercial facilities, airports, hospitality, as well as residential land development, contract negotiations, local, state and government compliance, and P&L management.

Mr. Wagner has estimated project costs, performed take-offs, and developed proposals for high-rise residential and large commercial projects exceeding $40 million. Robert has provided expert testimony and analysis of construction and insurance claims resulting from fire, water/flood, wind damage, collapse and prepared technical reports and claim summation. He has provided expert analysis and resolution of construction contracts, documents, and estimate disputes. Robert has identified and documented delays or issues related to project schedules and performed time impact assessments, including productivity impacts.

Mr. Wagner also serves as a Forensic Expert, Construction Consultant and Cost Estimator.
